The trainings are intended for users of X-ray diffraction systems who want to deepen their knowledge of measurement and evaluation of pole figures and calculation of orientation distribution function:

• intensive training on the diffractometer (texture - experimental aspects, pole fiugres conventions, normalisation strategies, PIM and IM methods);
• training with texture analysis on the PC (LaboTex, DAMFit) (pole figures analysis, ODF calculations, volume fraction of texture components by model functions method and by integral method, orientations database, simulation of theoretical pole figures and orientation distributions, ODF transformations and logical operations, high quality graphs for papers),
• lectures (Orientation space, orientation distribution formalisms and limitations, orientation distribution refinement by ADC - the best ODF calculation method),
• demonstrations
• practical work with texture reference samples.
